Resumen de La lengua guaraní en la era digital: perspectivas y desafíos

Las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación cada día se tornan más importantes e imprescindibles en las sociedades modernas. Las lenguas, como máxima expresión de las culturas de los pueblos, no pueden estar ajenas a estas herramientas. En este artículo abordaremos la presencia de la lengua guaraní en la informática y en el internet, a partir de su incorporación en el ámbito en 1995. Desde el nacimiento del Estado paraguayo, esta lengua ha sido relegada a la informalidad y la oralidad, y su uso restringido a los ámbitos rurales, fuera dela administración y del sistema educativo; empero, en las últimas décadas ha conquistado importantes espacios en varios ámbitos, entre ellos en el mundo digital. Para su elaboración, nos basaremos en la investigación Compilar la terminología guaraní existente y elaborar nuevos términos en el ámbito de la informática e internet (Álvarez, Lugo, Fernández, & Verón, 2017), a través de la cual hemos recopilado y analizado la terminología empleada en la traducción al guaraní de siete fuentes. Además del análisis, en dicho trabajo hemos elaborado una propuesta de glosario terminológico castellano-guaraní que pusimos a consideración de los usuarios de la lengua guaraní y las instituciones responsables de su normalización y normativización.

Information and communication technologies are becoming more important and essential in modern societies every day. Languages, as the maximum expression of peoples' cultures, cannot be alien to these tools.In this article we will address the presence of the Guaraní language in computer science and on the internet, since its incorporation into the field in 1995. Since the birth of the Paraguayan State, this language has been relegated to informality and orality, and its use restricted to rural areas, outside the administration and education system; However, in recent decades it has conquered important spaces in various fields, including in the digital world.For its elaboration, we will build on the research Compile the existing Guaraní terminology and develop new terms in the field of computer science and internet (Álvarez, Lugo, Fernández, & Verón, 2017), through which we have compiled and analyzed the terminology used in the translation into Guaraní from seven sources. In addition to the analysis,in this work we have prepared a Spanish-Guarani terminology glossary proposal that we put to the consideration of the users of the Guaraní language and the institutions responsible for its normalization and standardization.
