El objetivo del estudio es identificar la prevalencia y las diferencias en cuanto al sexo y tipo de centro educativo del cyberbullying, para ello se parte de una muestra de 1002 estudiantes de bachillerato de la provincia de Tungurahua de 14 a 20 años (M=15,92DS=1,22) siendo el 52,8% mujeres. En el estudio se emplean el CBQ (Cyberbullying Questionnaire) y su complemento (CBQ-V) que mide la victimización. Se encuentra una alta prevalencia de la perpetración (69%) y de la victimización (45%). Se encuentran diferencias estadísticamente significativas en las conductas de perpetración y victimización tanto en cuanto al género como al tipo de institución educativa. Se concluye que el fenómeno es más común entre hombres y en instituciones privadas.

The objective of the study is to identify the prevalence and differences in terms of sex and type of educational center of the cyberbullying. For this we start from a sample of 1002 high school students from the province of Tungurahua from 14 to 20 years (M = 15, 92DS = 1.22) 52.8% being women. The study uses the CBQ (Cyberbullying Questionnaire) and its complement (CBQ-V) that measures victimization. There is a high prevalence of perpetration (69%) and victimization (45%). Statistically significant differences are found in perpetration and victimization behaviors both in terms of gender and the type of educational institution. It is concluded that the phenomenon is more common among men and in private institutions.
