  The two European courts are enjoying a growing popularity that is reflected in the steady increase in the number of referrals. Given this situation, the organization of proceedings plays a major role in satisfying the expectations of the people who are to be tried. The two courts, faced with similar problems, have opted for different methods but apply similar principles to their proceedings.

  Les deux juridictions européennes connaissent une renommée grandissante qui se traduit par un accroissement continu du nombre des saisines. Dans ce contexte, l’organisation de la procédure joue un rôle cardinal pour répondre aux attentes des justiciables. Confrontées à des problèmes comparables, les deux Cours ont choisi des méthodes de travail différentes, mais appliquent à leurs procédures des principes similaires.
