Se recogen noticias biográficas -nacimientos, matrimonios, defunciones y otros varios- de pintores datadas en Madrid hace 400 años. Igualmente las referidas a aprendices y a sus circunstancias. Se atiende a pagos y contratos de pinturas. Son mencionadas y estudiadas también las obras, pinturas y dibujos conservados -en especial de pintores reales como Carducho, Cajés, Morán el Viejo o Bartolomé González- o documentados en 1618, así como tasaciones e inventarios de pinturas de esa fecha. Por último se relacionan los numerosos pintores documentados en Madrid en ese año y los muchos de los que consta actividad pictórica en la fecha citada.

The article contains data on Madrid painters which lived 400 years ago. Among this, biographical notes such as dates of birth, demise, marriages and others are stated. Besides that, dates referred to their apprentices and their environment, payments and contracts of paintings are compiled. It also gathers contemporary assessments, inventories as well as the paintings and drawings themselves, mainly those related to the royal painters (Carducho, Cajés, Morán el Viejo or Bartolomé González) or others from artists documented in 1618. Ultimately, an annex relates the numerous documented painters located in Madrid in 1618 and others from which there is information of their works in the mentioned year.
