  • Natural silicated apatites show contrasted behaviour towards irradiation (Carpena et al., 1988 ; Carpena et Sere, 1995 ; Carpena, 1998). In the aim to understand why some composition o f apatites are much more stable towards irradiation than others different studies have been performed to outlight the role o f some substitutions. The study is devoted to the influence o f the nature o f the tetraedra groupments and o f the channel anion in the structure.
