This dissertation is an investigation about philosophy of culture. Where we try to comprehend the symbolic expressions of some human groups: the Mesoamericans from the Classic period. As a philosophical knowledge, philosophy of culture takes as a starting point the descriptions, which are carried out from an objective exteriority level done by archaeologist, linguist and historians. Taking this into a count, I shall try to comprehend these cultures on a double level: from the phenomenological perspective and from the ontological perspective. As the core idea of organization for these cultures, I shall use the most important artistic and religious expressions referred – 170 – to space and time: their sacred places and sacred calendars. I shall, also, try to develop a comprehension of what is lived or what occurs in the inner being by the subjects of these cultures faced with theses sacred places and their calendars. As well, I will try to reach, from an ontological perspective of the culture, the essence of space as a place that manifest the Origin and the calendar as an organization of life from an ideal construct.
