Se estudió el efecto de diferentes presentaciones comerciales del tepescohuite sobre el crecimiento de diferentes especies de dermatofitos y levaduras del género Candida. Los resultados obtenidos indican que las diferentes presentaciones del producto, no tienen ningún efecto antimicótico en las cepas analizadas, lo cual es controversial con algunos reportes. Cabe mencionar, que tal vez los diferentes productos no sean originales, o que no tengan las propiedades que se le atribuyen.

The effect of different commercial presentations of tepescohuite on the growth of different species of dermatophytes and Candida were analyze. The results indicate that the different presentations of the product have not present antifungal effect on the strains tested, which is controversial to some reports. It is worth mentioning that perhaps the different products are not original, or do not have the properties attributed to it.
