    El singular modelo de poder compartido que constituye la base del sistema sociopolítico libanés proviene de sus mismos elementos germinales: la Constitución de 1926, el Pacto Nacional de 1943 y, de forma especial, de los resultados del censo de 1932 y sus consecuencias. Este trabajo pretende analizar los rasgos más significativos de dichos factores, lo que permitirá comprender las causas de la tradicional sensibilidad libanesa a cualquier alteración de su statu quo. Incluso hoy día, esa sensibilidad permanece firmemente inscrita en las dinámicas políticas del país.

    The peculiar pattern of shared power that conforms the basis of the Lebanese political system comes from its very germline elements: the Constitution of 1926; the National Pact of 1943 and, in a special way, the outcome of the 1932 census and its consequences. The aim of this work is to analyse the most significant features of these factors, which will make it possible to understand the causes of the traditional Lebanese sensitivity to any alteration of their statu quo. Even nowadays, this sensitivity remains firmly attached to the country's political dynamics.
