    El creciente desarrollo científico y técnico, que ha dado lugar a la globalización ha cambiado el modo de vivir y relacionarse de las personas. Cada vez se consumen más productos, se realizan más viajes, se facilita la comunicación a través de las redes sociales y se quiere tener un mayor control sobre la vida humana. El hombre vive fuera de sí mismo, ocupado en trabajar para ganar dinero, pendiente de ver el noticiero y de responder a los mensajes que recibe en el WhatsApp y Facebook. Puede tener muchas cosas, ocuparse en diversas actividades y al mismo tiempo experimentar un gran vacío, un anhelo de ser feliz y de saber quién es, de dónde viene y hacia dónde se dirige. La invitación de Santa Teresa a «entrar en el castillo interior» contenida en su obra Las moradas es propia para el hombre de hoy. La santa invita a «entrar dentro de sí», a trabajar en el «propio conocimiento» para encontrarse a sí mismo y a Dios, y así salir al encuentro de los demás a través del amor. Desde una perspectiva antropológica, Santa Teresa está respondiendo a las preguntas básicas que todo ser humano se hace y que cuando logra responder, encuentra un sentido en su vida y por ende la felicidad y la paz del corazón. Quien descubre y vive esta propuesta teresiana, ha de afrontar el reto de ayudar a que otros puedan también iniciar el «propio conocimiento» y entusiasmarlos para recorrer el camino del silencio interior y la amistad con Dios.

    The scientific and technical development, which has given rise to globalization, has changed the way we live and communicate. Each time people consume more products, make more trips, facilitate communication through social networks and want to have a greater control over human life. The man lives outside of itself, occupied in work to earn money, pending to see the newscast and to respond to the messages it receives in the WhatsApp and Facebook. He may have many things, deal with in a variety of activities and at the same time experience a great void, a longing to be happy and know who he is, where he comes from and where he is headed. Saint Therese’s invitation to «enter in the interior castle» contained in his work Las Moradas is for the man of today.

    She invites us to «enter within ourselves», to work in the «own knowledge» to find himself and to God, and so reach out to others through love. From an anthropological perspective, Saint Therese is responding to the basic questions that every human being made, and that when achieve to respond, is a meaning in their lives and therefore happiness and peace of heart. Who discovers and live this Teresian proposal, has to face the challenge of helping others can also start the «own knowledge» and entice them to take the path of inner silence and friendship with God.
