    Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer in France. In elderly patients, its management should be based on the assessment of co-morbidities and the identification of possible geriatric syndromes, not just on calendar age. The G8 Frailty Screening Score allows patients to be referred to conventional treatment or oncogeriatric interventions prior to cancer treatment

    Le cancer de la prostate est le cancer masculin le plus fréquent en France. Chez les patients âgés, sa prise en charge doit reposer sur l’évaluation des comorbidités et le repérage d’éventuels syndromes gériatriques, et non sur le seul âge calendaire. Le score de dépistage de la fragilité G8 permet d’orienter les patients vers un traitement classique ou vers des interventions oncogériatriques précédant le traitement du cancer.
