    The prostate is an exocrine male gland that produces seminal fluid. It constitutes a crossroads between the urinary and genital tract of the man at which the urethral canal allowing the emission of urine from the bladder receives the ejacula-tory channels. The prostate is therefore a real switching point, at the origin of its dual function.
