Sobre a decoração arquitetónica da cidade romana de Salacia

    This article examines the Roman architectural elements existing in Alcácer do Sal. The formal and decorative diversity that the studied elements display allows one to make a few remarks about possible influences of the architectural ornaments of this city during the Roman period and the characterization of decoration then in vogue. Possible links with other regions of the province, as is the case of Olisipo or Scalabis, given away by the workshops distinguishing marks that some elements have may contribute to the definition of ateliers manufacturing such elements

    Analisam-se vários elementos arquitetónicos da Época Romana existentes em Alcácer do Sal. A diversidade formal e decorativa que estas peças denotam permite tecer algumas considerações sobre as possíveis influências que a ornamentação arquitetural desta cidade terá sofrido durante o Período Romano, possibilitando a caracterização da plástica decorativa então em voga. Possíveis relações com outras regiões da província, como será o caso de Olisipo ou Scalabis, denunciadas por tiques de oficina que algumas das peças evidenciam, poderão concorrer para a definição de ateliers de produção deste tipo de elementos
