Conceptos como el erotismo y la sensualidad se han relacionado habitualmente con el desnudo. Sin embargo, la pintura española presenta ca-rencias en este tipo de representaciones por las imposiciones morales de la época. Pero más preocupante que el desnudo fue para los teóricos de la época el traje, pues algunos cortes y formas de llevar determinados vestidos llevaron intrínseco un alto contenido erótico. En la presente investigación se pretenden analizar los elementos del traje femenino que condensaron un potente sentido erótico, a través del análisis de los textos que tratan de manera específica este tema. A su vez se buscarán representaciones femeninas ataviadas con un alto contenido erótico en el espectro artístico español. De este modo, se pretende mostrar si los condicionantes lascivos y sensuales que se encuentran en los textos se reflejan en la obra artística o si los artistas no tuvieron en cuenta las implicaciones eróticas en sus representaciones.

Concepts such as eroticism and sensuality are traditionally related to the nude body. However, Spanish painting presents gaps in this kind of re-presentations due to the moral impositions of the time. However, even more worrisome than the nude body for theorists of the time was women’s clothing, given that some cuts and ways of wearing certain dresses were highly charged with implicit erotical content. Through the analysis of texts that deal with the subject, this current study will analyze elements of women’s garments that reflected a powerful erotic element. At the same time, the representation of women’s clothing with a high erotic content will be addressed. In this way, we attempt to show whether the lascivious and sensual determinants found in texts are reflected in the artistic works or if the artists took the erotic implications into account in their representation.
