    Es necesario que los médicos conozcan aquellos puntos del sistema de justicia acusatorio y oral en los cuales por su profesión, resulten involucrados, como el hecho de ser acusados por una presunta responsabilidad profesional, o porque sean designados o invitados a participar como peritos dentro del proceso de investigación para hacer un dictamen, el cual podrían justificar y defender durante un juicio o participen como consultores técnicos; para ello es necesario que en el curso de medicina legal de la carrera de medicina se les enseñe cuál es la función de un perito en el juicio oral, cómo se hace un dictamen, cómo son los interrogatorios y contra interrogatorios y cómo deben enfrentarlos, para que no perciban esta experiencia como represiva, imprecisa y carente de satisfacción y lo lleven a cabo con indiferencia y desinterés, con lo que se logrará que lo valoren, aprovechen y acepten como parte de sus actividades profesionales.

    It is necessary for doctors to know subjects from the oral and accusatory system of justice, in which they could get involved due to their profession, like the fact of being charged for a presumed professional responsibility or because they’ve been assigned or invited to participate as experts within the process of an investigation, to present their opinion which they could justify and defend during a trial or maybe even to contribute as technical consultants; in order to do such performance, it’s necessary that, during the course of legal medicine of the medical career, the students be taught the function of an expert in the oral trial; how to create an opinion, the way interrogations and crossexaminations are done and how to face up to them so that they don’t feel this experience as repressive, inaccurate and lacking of satisfaction and for them to carry it out without indifference and disinterest, all of this will help to achieve that they appreciate, seize and accept the job as a part of their professional activities
