  La realidad en torno a la minería, la industrialización entre otros, ha cargado a la sociedad con diversas problemáticas que en ocasiones han derivado en la generación de patologías y/o afectaciones en la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos. Es así como la industria, debería ser regulada a profundidad de manera que pueda prevenirse o controlarse cualquier tipo de afectación que los procesos industriales puedan ejercer sobre su entorno, máxime cuando ello involucra el bienestar de seres humanos. Frente a esta situación y atendiendo un poco a la coyuntura actual, en nuestro semillero de investigación(SISMA –Semillero de Investigación en Salud y Medio Ambiente) se ha despertado un interés por indagar sobre el asbesto o amianto, como se conoce mundialmente; un material del que se ha demostrado que representa un daño irreparable sobre la población que tiene contacto directo o indirecto con él a tal punto que en muchas ocasiones conduce a la muerte. Por lo anterior, se hace necesario generar una estrategia pedagógica y didáctica que acerque esta problemática a la ciudadanía y le brinde herramientas conceptuales, históricas y hasta legislativas para tratar el tema como un problema de salud pública y lograr que día a día las comunidades, especialmente las aledañas a los lugares donde se utiliza este material en la manufactura, comprenda que está poniendo en riesgo su integridad.

  At present the treatments of inflammatory pathologies try to solve in a traditional way and through the use of the pharmacology vectors that give origin to the internal imbalance in the organisms and pretend that using that unique route a satisfactory resolution of the same one is reached. However, they have not known the influence that other factors exert on the human beings and that they add up to complicate the pictures of health. For example, when we associate the predisposition to some diseases along with harmful lifestyles and habits such as poor diet, sedentarism, food imbalance, stress, influence of environmental factors, etc.In addition, traditional medicine has put aside the ancestral wisdom that came hand in hand with those grandparents who knew their territory and who, at the right time, had the ability to take from the environment what would allow them to control the condition.

  Therefore, many of these ancestral knowledges have been relegated and the treatments that could be complemented are approached with a single optic, which implies that at the moment traditional treatments, increase the time, reduce their effectiveness and Is ended up entailing a series of adverse effects resulting from its implementation.Our purpose is to propose a scenario in which the two types of knowledge are found and complement each other, so that a space of socialization can be generated that allows establishing ancestral and biochemical foundations in the use of traditional plants for the treatment of pathologies; In addition to inviting the population in general to resort to natural medicine and to take advantage of all the benefits that this can offer us.
