    Es la química una ciencia que ha tenido avances a través de la historia y estos cambios están asociados a las adaptaciones sociales, dichas modificaciones permean diferentes dimensiones de la sociedad,por ende,la educación y especialmente la enseñanza de las ciencias naturales. Por lo anterior, se necesita la implementación de opciones educativas que promuevan el proceso de enseñanza -aprendizaje desde una perspectiva integradora, y los Asuntos Sociocientíficos (ASC) se convierten en una alternativa interesante. Los ASC son problemas sociocientíficos que promueven no solo el aprendizaje de las ciencias, sino también fomentan la actitud crítica, política y ética de los individuos, así como la participación y la acción. En este taller se busca aportar en la reflexión sobre cómo la enseñanza de los hidrocarburos, puede convertirse en un ASC para abordar temáticas de química y fomentar la motivación y participación en clase.

    It is the chemistry a science that has had advances through the history and these changes are associated with the social adjustments, the above mentioned modifications permeate different dimensions of the city, since it is the education and even more for the education of the natural sciences.So, there becomes necessary the implementation of strategies that include the process of teaching -learning with approach of integral formation, it becomes an interesting alternative the socio-scientific issue, since these promote the critical attitude, the participation, the political and ethical attitudes; beside promoting actions. Additional, since it is mentioned by Hodson (mentioned for Cano, Echeverri and Giraldo, 2015) is necessary a curriculum that allows to the students to make science, learn science and write on the science. It is so the education of the hydrocarbons they are a proposal to promote the use of socio-scientific issue to approach subject matters of chemistry and to promote the motivation and participation in class.
