Resumen de Representaciones sociales sobre las prácticas del uso de plantas medicinales de los estudiantes de grado undecimo de la institucion educativa San Lorenzo

  La presente ponencia, tiene como finalidad exponer algunos avances deltrabajo de gradoque consiste en identificar las representaciones sociales sobre las prácticas del uso de las plantas medicinales que tienenlos estudiantes de grado undécimo de la institución educativa San Lorenzo. Dicha institución está ubicada en el municipio de Riosucio, Caldas, en el resguardo indígena de San Lorenzo; donde la mayoría de los habitantes pertenecen a la etnia Embera Chamí. En la institución educativa se imparte una educación basada en los estándares básicos emanados por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional. Esta tiene un énfasis agropecuario, para esta área no existen estándares, ni competencias, establecidas por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional; por tal motivo los temas de estudiose orientan teniendo como referencia el libro “Manual agropecuario de la biblioteca del campo”. Estas temáticas son de tipo universal, por tal motivo no tienen en cuenta las prácticas ancestrales empleadas por los pueblos indígenas para el manejo de las plantas medicinales. Es por lo anterior que se pretende identificar tanto las representaciones sociales de los estudiantes de grado undécimode la institución educativa San Lorenzo, como de los médicos ancestrales del resguardo, sobre las prácticas del uso de plantas medicinales, para conocer de primera mano qué prácticas aún se conservan y cuáles no.

  This research paperhas a main goal to present some of the advances in the investigation, which consists of identifying the social representations about the practices of the use of medicinal plants by the EleventhGrader Students of Institución Educativa San Lorenzo. This institution is located in Riosucio, in the Indigenous Reservation of San Lorenzo, in Caldas Department, where the majority of the inhabitants belong to the ethnic group Embera Chamí. This institution bases its education on the Basic Standards emanated by the Ministry of National Education. This institution has an agricultural emphasis; however, the area itself has neither standards, nor scholar proficiencies, established by the Ministry of National Education; for that reason, the studied subjects in this institution are oriented taking as a reference the book "Manual Agropecuario de la Biblioteca del Campo(“Agricultural Manual of the Countryside Library”). The topics on this book are universal; so, they do not take into account the ancestral practices used by the indigenous people of this reservation related to the management of medicinal plants.For all the above, it is intended to identify both the social representations of the EleventhGrader Students of Institucion Educativa San Lorenzo, and ofthe ancestral doctors of the reservation, on the practices of the use of medicinal plants, to know firsthand what practices are still preserved in the reservation.
