Preservación, estudio y puesta en valor de patrimonio agrícola: estudio del caso de la Xarxa de Patrimoni Rural – Ecomuseu del Blat (Cataluña)

    El trabajo aporta a la literatura un nuevo caso de estudio sobre la caracterización y la taxonomía de los ecomuseos, mediante el estudio en profundidad de la experiencia de la Xarxa de Patrimoni Rural – Ecomuseu del Blat (XPREB, Red de Patrimonio Rural – Ecomuseo del Trigo). La XPREB es una asociación dedicada a la preservación y puesta en valor de las memorias agrícola y ganadera, oficios artesanos, paisaje y modos de vida de los campesinos y campesinas de la Cataluña Central. Toma el trigo como hilo interpretativo del paisaje natural y cultural de una zona donde los cereales de secano son los principales cultivos. Los objetivos son analizar, clasificar y valorar la XPREB. Específicamente trata de responder a las preguntas: ¿la XPREB puede considerarse canónicamente un ecomuseo?, ¿la XPREB comparte los rasgos de los ecomuseos de España?, ¿cuáles han sido sus impactos económicos, sociales, culturales y medioambientales? Se analiza el origen y la evolución histórica de la XPREB, se examinan los elementos de patrimonio agrario, material e inmaterial, que la XPREB ha contribuido a preservar, estudiar y difundir. Se enumeran los actores participantes y se clasifican entre miembros (red interna) y entidades con las que colabora (red externa). Se exploran los públicos beneficiarios de la actividad de la XPREB y se analiza su estructura organizativa. La XPREB es una experiencia patrimonial híbrida, mezcla de museo etnográfico local, centro de interpretación y museo al aire libre. Es un ecomuseo de comunidad, más que institucional, que en general no presenta los rasgos típicos de los ecomuseos en España, y que globalmente sigue adecuadamente los principios de la filosofía ecomuseológica. Los impactos merecen una valoración desigual: limitados en los ámbitos económico y medioambiental, y más significativos en los ámbitos social y cultural.

    The work brings to the literature a new case study on the characterization and taxonomy of the ecomuseums, through the in-depth study of the experience of the Rural Heritage Network – Ecomuseum of Wheat (in Catalan, Xarxa de Patrimoni Rural – Ecomuseu del Blat, XPREB). The XPREB is an association of preservation and enhancement of agricultural and livestock living memories, artisan crafts, landscape and ways of life of farmers in Central Catalonia. It takes the wheat as the thread to interpret the natural and cultural landscapes of an area where rainfed cereals are the main crops. The objectives are to analyze, classify and evaluate the XPREB. Specifically, it tries to answer the questions: Can the XPREB canonically be considered an ecomuseum? Does the XPREB share the features of the ecomuseums of Spain? What have been its economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts? The origin and historical evolution of the XPREB is analyzed, the material and intangible agricultural heritage which the XPREB has contributed to preserve, study and disseminate is examined. Participating actors are listed and classified among members (internal network) and entities with which it collaborates (external network). The beneficiaries of the XPREB activity are explored and its organizational structure is analyzed. The XPREB is a hybrid heritage experience, a mixture of local ethnographic museum, interpretation center and open-air museum. It is a community ecomuseum, rather than institutional one, that generally does not show the typical features of ecomuseums in Spain, and that globally adequately follows the principles of ecomuseological philosophy. The impacts deserve an unequal assessment: limited in the economic and environmental fields, and more significant in the social and cultural fields.
