En este artículo se retoman algunos aspectos de la vida y la obra de Emmanuel Levinas, y se concentra en el período de su cautividad (1940-1945), durante el cual escribió De la existencia al existente. El autor propone que De la existencia al existente evidencia, no sólo el distanciamiento de algunas tesis de Husserl y Heidegger, sino los derroteros centrales de la propuesta filosófica levinasiana, a saber, el Otro y la intersubjetividad.

The article takes up again some aspects of the life and work of Emmanuel Levinas. It focuses on the period of his captivity (1940-1945), in which he wrote De la existencia al existente. The author proposes that De la existencia al existente shows not only the distance from some of Husserl’s and Heidegger’s theses but the central courses of the levinasian proposal, that is, the other and intersubjectivity.
