Resumen de El desarrollo socioeconómico y sustentabilidad ambiental en municipios urbanos de la Región Noroeste, México

  Objetivo: analizar el desarrollo socioeconómico y la sustentabilidad ambiental en los 36 municipios urbanos de la región Noroeste en México. Metodología: mediante la técnica estadística del análisis factorial de componentes principales se creó el Índice de Desarrollo Socioeconómico Municipal (IDSEM) y el Índice de Sustentabilidad Ambiental (ISAM), a partir de datos del INEGI, Semarnat, Coneval, entre otros, correspondientes al año 2015. Resultados: éstos indican que 22 municipios presentaron alto y muy alto IDSEM, lo que representa el 90.65 % de la población. En cuanto a ISAM se encontró que son 17 los municipios en estrato alto y muy alto, es decir, el 50 % de la población. Limitaciones: el ISAM fue calculado utilizando la limitada información ambiental existente a escala municipal. Conclusiones: en cuanto a la relación de IDSEM e ISAM, se encontró que son 15 municipios que coinciden con ambos índices entre alto y muy alto de un total de 36 municipios, que representan el 85.57 % de la población. se observa que son cinco municipios lo que corresponde al 3.13 % de la población a los cuales se debe enfocar y orientar los esfuerzos en materia de desarrollo y sustentabilidad.

  Objective: To analyze socioeconomic development and environmental sustainability in the 36 urban municipalities of the Northwest region in Mexico. Methodology: The Municipal Socio-Economic Development Index (IDSEM) and the Environmental Sustainability Index (ISAM) were created using the statistical technique of the principal component factor analysis, based on data corresponding to the year 2015 from INEGI, Semarnat, Coneval, among others. Results: 22 municipalities presented high and very high IDSEM, representing 90.65 % of the population. Regarding ISAM, it was found that there are 17 municipalities in a high and very high stratum, representing 50 % of the population. Limitations: ISAM was calculated using the limited environmental information existing at the municipal level. Conclusions: Regarding the relationship between IDSEM and ISAM, it was found that of a total 36 municipalities, 15 coincide with both rates between high and very high, representing 85.57 % of the population. It is observed that there are five municipalities to which the development and sustainability efforts should focus and guide. They represent 3.13 % of the population.
