Resumen de La tragedia forestal de la provincia de San Luis (Argentina)

El objetivo de este proyecto es analizar, en la provincia de San Luis, la relación que el hombre ha tenido con las masas forestales, desde la época precolombina hasta la actualidad. Este proyecto es una herramienta encomiástica para entender el manejo actual de los recursos naturales. La metodología utilizada se basó en realizar una minuciosa búsqueda bibliográfica en el Archivo Histórico Provincial y archivos privados. Si bien, el acervo bibliográfico es histórico, es posible percibir como la naturaleza ha influido sobre los hechos históricos; tanto es así, que es imposible separar los eventos políticos y sociales de los ecológicos. Cada etapa histórica posee hechos notables en cuanto al manejo de los bosques, la tenencia de la tierra, la legislación vigente, la política estatal implementada y la influencia de los capitales extranjeros, lo cual tiene una profunda analogía con hechos acaecidos en el resto del país y en toda América Latina.

The purpose of this research was to analyze, in San Luis province, the relationship that the man have had with the forests, from the pre-Columbian to the recent time. That was an encomiastic instrument to understand the present management of the natural resources The methodology was to made a meticulous bibliographic research in the historic provincial and private archives. Even though, the bibliography was historical, it was possible to perceive how nature have affected the historical facts; consequently, it was impossible to separate the politic and social events from the ecological ones. Each historical stage have important facts in relation to the forest management, the land property, the ruling law, the established state politic and the foreign capital influence, that have a very strong analogy with the facts that occurred all over the country and Latin America.
