    En el presente artículo se estudia el binomio conceptual “Traición a la Patria”, su delimitación temporal va desde el inicio de la guerra de Independencia hasta el triunfo de la República sobre el Segundo Imperio mexicano. El principal objetivo del artículo es reflexionar sobre el uso de dicho binomio en la práctica política por algunos sujetos históricos en dicha temporalidad, estudiar cómo esos hombres del pasado concibieron a la Patria y su defensa y en consecuencia la traición a ella.

    In this article the conceptual binomial "Traición a la Patria"(Treason against the Motherland/High treason) is studied, temporary delineation will from the beginning of the War of Independence until the triumph of the Republic on the Second Mexican Empire. The main objective of this article is to reflect on the use of the binomial in political practice by some historical subject in that temporality, study how these men of the past conceived the Motherland (country) and its defense and consequently the betrayal of her.
