Dolomitization occurs on the SE border of the Valles-Penedes half-graben as a hectometric dolomite body on the hangingwall block of a minor N-S trending normal fault. The dolomite consists of replacive dolomite and dolomite cement and are poor-magnesian dolomites and have a relatively high iron content. The replacive dolomites and dolomite cement have a 8180 varying from -4.8 to -3 .2 % o o PDB, a SnC varying from -3.1 to -2.0 %o PDB and 87Sr/86Sr values ranging from 0.70830 to 0.70896. This dolomitization process was produced by topographically-driven fluids.
