El presente trabajo recoge la experiencia personal de vivir en zona fronteriza entre Honduras y Guatemala así como un análisis pro-fesional como gestora cultural sobre la relación entre migración y cultura, centrándose especialmente en tres dimensiones afectadas: la persona en sí misma, la comunidad de origen, la comunidad re-ceptora y su respectivo desarrollo y evolución cultural. El concepto de cultura que abordo abarca, también, la creación artística y los artistas quienes están para contar sobre la violencia en sus diferen-tes manifestaciones, para denunciar, para transgredir ese lugar de lo correcto y lo establecido y para poder decir cosas que la sociedad necesita escuchar y que desde los canales establecidos no pueden obtener voz. Ofrezco este otro punto de vista como un medio para el diálogo, para el intercambio de experiencias y testimonios de cómo el arte, la cultura y la gestión cultural son algunas herramientas eficaces para la construcción de la paz, la construcción de una ciu-dadanía libre, que traspasa fronteras y poder darle a los migrantes su único valor: el de seres humanos con toda su dignidad.

This work gathers the personal experience of living in the border area between Honduras and Guatemala as well as a professional analysis as a cultural manager on the relationship between migration and culture, focusing especially on three affected dimensions: the person in himself, the community of origin, the receiving community and its respective development and cultural evolution. The concept of culture that I cover also includes artistic creation and artists who are there to tell about violence in its different manifestations, to denounce it, to transgress that place of the right and the established and to be able to say things that society needs to hear and that cannot establish a voice from established channels. I offer this other point of view as a means for dialogue, for the exchange of experiences and testimonies of how art, culture and cultural management are some effective tools for the construction of peace, the construction of a free citizenship, which crosses borders and can give migrants their only value: that of human beings with all their dignity.
