Un himne inèdit d’Abdon Terradas i alguna cosa més

    L’article informa sobre l’existència, a l’Hemeroteca Municipal de Madrid, de 3 “hojas volantes” i un darrer número d’El Republicano no esmentats fins ara per ningú. Gràcies a aquests documents, completa, i en part rectifica, la informació donada per Jaume Guillamet, fent particular esment de la posició prohibicionista adoptada per aquestes publicacions i ostensible no sols en una declaració explícita de principis, sinó en les il·lustracions de les respectives capçaleres. També corregeix la interpretació feta per Román Miguel de la capçalera d’El Republicano, i sosté que en el personatge central d’aquesta cal veure un retrat de Terradas com a suprema personificació del republicanisme espanyol. Finalment, publica l’himne indicat al títol, aparegut a l’esmentat darrer número d’El Republicano.

    The article points out the existence, in Madrid’s Hemeroteca Municipal, of 3 hitherto unknown Republican “hojas volantes” and one, also unknown, last issue of El Republicano.In the light of these documents, it fills some gaps in, and makes some corrections to, the information supplied by Jaume Guillamet, with particular emphasis on the protectionist stance adopted by the said papers, as evinced not only in an ad hoc statement of principles, but also in their respective illustrated mastheads. It goes on to correct Román Miguel’s interpretation of ElRepublicano’s masthead, arguing that the character at its centre portrays Abdon Terradas asthe supreme embodiment of Spanish Republicanism. Lastly, it reproduces the political anthem mentioned in the titol, which is taken from the aforesaid last issue of El Republicano
