Existe una importante tradición en la formulación de modelos urbanos. Inicialmente abordaron configuraciones espaciales específicas (anillos, sectores, núcleos múltiples) y con posterioridad, durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX se realizaron propuestas integradoras, considerando nuevas estructuras (fragmentación y expansión difusa) ajustadas al caso de las ciudades de América Latina. Este trabajo define el mapa social de la ciudad de Córdoba considerando variables censales. Los resultados evidencian de qué manera esta metrópolis presenta en su interior la combinación de aspectos modelísticos de diferentes épocas y tradiciones de investigación para comprender su desarrollo histórico y configuración actual.

There is an important tradition in the formulation of urban models. Initially they addressed specific spatial configurations (rings, sectors, multiple nuclei) and subsequently, during the second half of the 20th century, integrative proposals were made, considering new structures (fragmentation and fuzzy sprawl) adjusted to the case of Latin American cities. This work defines the social map of the city of Córdoba considering census variables. The results show how this metropolis present in its interior the combination of modeling aspects of diferents periods and research traditions to understand its historical development and current configuration.
