    En el presente artículo se analiza desde distintos puntos de vista la tanda de penaltis, un dispositivo que no ha recibido apenas atención desde el punto de visto de su funcionamiento, incardinación y justificación en la lógica interna del fútbol. En este sentido, el propósito de este trabajo es ofrecer una breve descripción histórica, pero especialmente analizar los argumentos a favor y en contra desde el punto de vista de si la tanda de penaltis sirve correctamente al fin de determinar el vencedor de un partido desde la perspectiva del merecimiento. En último lugar, y a tales efectos se exponen los análisis de los economistas para lograr ese propósito y la decisión de FIFA de cambiar el orden de lanzamiento.

    This article analyses from different points of view the shootout, a device that has received hardly any attention from the point of view of its functioning, incardination and justification in the internal logic of football. In this sense, the purpose of this work is to offer a brief historical description, but especially to analyze the arguments for and against it from the point of view of whether the penalty shootout serves correctly in order to determine the winner of a match from the perspective of merit. Finally, and for this purpose, the analyses of the economists to achieve that purpose and FIFA's research to change the order of launch are presented.
