    El objetivo principal de este trabajo es definir la poesía para primeros lectores y pre-lectores como género literario infantil en el ámbito español. Para ello, hemos establecido un corpus formado por dos colecciones: De la cuna a la luna (Kalandraka) y La cereza (Combel). Mediante una comparación de ambas, estableceremos cuáles son los principales rasgos del género en relación con cuatro aspectos: las dimensiones peritextuales, especialmente el formato y las características materiales; la dimensión textual, con el fin de establecer sus rasgos temáticos y formales; la dimensión visual, para determinar el modo en que la relación entre el texto y la ilustración contribuye al diseño del lector implícito; y, por último, la dimensión epitextual virtual, ya que en ambos casos existen materiales virtuales que proponen experiencias lectoras que van más allá de los propios libros.

    The main goal of this article is to define a specific literary genre called “poetry for first readers and pre-readers” within the Spanish literary system. In order to do that, we will focus on two poetry collections: De la cuna a la luna (Kalandraka) and La cereza (Combel). By comparing both of them, we will try to stablish a range of traits that can define the genre regarding four different dimensions: the peritexts and the format of the books; the main themes and formal devises that can be found in the poetic texts; the visual characteristics, especially focusing on the relationship between verses and illustrations; and the virtual and epitextual implications, insofar as there are many virtual complementary materials linked to both collections in the Internet that enhance the reading experience beyond the books.
