O artigo lança e visa fundamentar teoricamente a hipótese de um diálogo potente entre jornalistas e público nas sociedades interativas. Entendendo o jornalismo como forma de conhecimento, argumenta-se que as opções de uso da interatividade por esses dois atores na contemporaneidade podem alterar significativamente não só o modo de feitura do jornalismo, mas também o conhecimento por ele produzido, gerando a ideia de uma educação informal emancipadora. Ancorando-se nas bases teóricas do conceito de práxis, diálogo e neutralidade do pedagogo brasileiro Paulo Freire, entende-se que a interatividade pode ser utilizada com fins pedagógicos no jornalismo.
