    El imparable ascenso de China como potencia económica global ha ido acompañado de una mayor implicación en regiones que, como Oriente Medio, siguen siendo vitales para EE. UU. y en las que este último invierte considerables recursos, incluidos militares, para garantizar su hegemonía. Por el momento no hay alternativas a esta hegemonía, ni China parece tener la voluntad de desafiarla abiertamente. Pero en una zona en la que el antiamericanismo está ampliamente extendido, la alternativa china resulta enormemente atractiva y ningún país cierra sus puertas a la cooperación con la potencia emergente.

    China’s unstoppable ascent as a global economic power has led to a greater involvement in regions like the Middle East, a region which is still a priority for the United States and thus receives a considerable amount of resources, including military ones, that are invested there as a way for the United States to maintain its hegemony. For the moment, there are no alternatives to this predominance, and China does not seem to want to challenge it openly. However, due to the great expansion of the anti-American sentiment in the area, lots of countries are willing to cooperate with the emerging power because of its appeal as an alternative to the United States.
