    L’any 1915 Ricard Giralt i Casadesús (1884-1970) obtenia la plaça d’arquitecte municipalde Figueres. Aquesta tesi aprofundeix en laperspectiva del moviment noucentista a partirde l’anàlisi dela trajectòria professional del’arquitecte i especialment del seu pensamenturbanístic i social. El noucentisme com amoviment s’inscriu en el període històric de lesprimeres dècades del segleXX, com a llenguatgeestètic i programa d’intervenció política, en elmarc de la Mancomunitat de Catalunya d’arafa cent anys. L’estudi realitzat proposa unaconcepció transversal de l’arquitecte i, perextensió, una nova dimensió del movimentnoucentista que supera el període de 1914-1924en què s’inscriu la Mancomunitat i ofereix novesmirades vers els períodes històrics posteriors, finsa la fi del franquisme

    In 1915, Ricard Giralt i Casadesús (1884-1970)obtained the post of municipal architect ofFigueres. This article explores the perspective ofthe Noucentisme movement through ananalysis of the architect's professional career andespecially of his urban and social thought. Themovement of Noucentisme originates in thehistorical period of the early twentieth century, asan aesthetic language and a program of politicalintervention, in relation to the Commonwealth(Mancomunitat)of Catalonia now a hundredyears ago. The present study proposes atransversal understanding of the architect and,by extension, a new view of the Noucentismemovement which exceeds the period 1914-1924of the Commonwealth andoffers newperspectives towards the following historicalperiods, until the end of the Franco regime
