Arte y violencia ecológica en 9 oiko epistemes

    Se propone el trinomio violencia/arte/ecología para analizar los rasgos de violencia sistémica existentes en los conflictos ecológicos del presente y demostrar la efectividad del arte como catalizador para desvelarlos.

    También se sugiere que el arte puede ser un pilar firme para contrarrestar los relatos de estas problemáticas ambientales y su violencia inherente. Frente a la inflación de datos científicos propios del discurso medioambiental que, en ocasiones, pueden ejercer un efecto paralizante, el arte puede ofrecer otros ángulos de visión alternativos que apelen a la acción.

    Por otro lado, aproximarnos al arte y la cultura como soft powers , nos permite proponerlos como pilares que contrarresten las violencias implícitas en la ecocrisis del momento. Esta función de contrafuerte se analizará a través de algunos ejemplos de mi propia práctica curatorial, entendiendo ésta como praxis alternativa de conocimiento.

    The trinomial violence / art / ecology is proposed to analyze the traits of systemic violence existing in the ecological conflicts of the present time and to demostrate the effectiveness of art as a catalyst to reveal them.

    It is also suggested that art can be a strong pillar to counteract the narratives of these enviromental problematics and their inherent violence, against the inflation of scientific data characteristic of environmental discourse that may have a aparalysing effect. To confront this response, art can offer alternative viewing angles that appeal to action.

    On the other hand, approaching art and culture as soft powers allows us to propose them as pillars that counteract the violence implied in the current ecocrisis. This buttress function will be analyzed through some examples of my own curatorial practice, understanding this as an alternative practice of knowledge.
