Desde una perspectiva histórica-antropológica, esta investigación busca contribuir a la caracterización de la minería y metalurgia desarrolladas durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII en el norte de Mendoza (Argentina) y analizar el rol que las mismas tuvieron en la dinámica sociohistórica del área, a partir la apropiación de los recursos naturales disponibles y a las estrategias aplicadas en la explotación y beneficio de minerales.

From an historical-anthropological perspective, this research seeks to contribute to the characterization of mining and metallurgy developed during the second half of the 18th century in the north of Mendoza (Argentina) and analyze the role they played in the sociohistorical dynamics of the area, from the appropriation of available natural resources and the strategies applied in the preparation, exploitation and benefit of minerals.
