    En este artículo se indaga y problematiza sobre conceptos referidos por Homero, que han sido traducidos como guerra, disputa, lucha o combate, y que han sido entendidos como sinónimos a lo largo de la historia occidental. Entre las nociones referidas por Homero se encuentra una gran cantidad de conceptos que refieren de manera distinta a los fenómenos asociados a la guerra, sobresalen los de Eris, Pólemos y Máchai, traducidos como disputa, combate y lucha. La pregunta que se vuelve evidente, entonces, es: ¿Qué es lo que entiende Homero por Eris, Pólemos y Máchai?

    This article explores and problematizes concepts referred by Homer and that have been translated as war, dispute, fight, or combat, they have been understood as synonymous throughout Western history. Among the notions referred by Homer, there is a large number of concepts that relate differently to the phenomena associated with the war, but mainly excel the concepts of Eris, Pólemos and Máchai, translated as dispute, combat and fight, The question that becomes apparent then is what does Homer understand about Eris, Pólemos and Máchai?
