En el Convenio OIT n. 128 son tratadas las prestaciones de invalidez, vejez y sobrevivientes, con sus correspondientes procesos y condiciones. De ellas, con una perspectiva social minuciosa, se analiza el estándar mínimo orientado a armonizar las ordenaciones jurídico-políticas de los Estados miembro. La razón de ser la constituye el progreso social en materia de protección social. Tanto en forma de derechos y garantías, como en sus sentidos y alcances universales, en su aplicación por los Estados ratificadores.

In ILO Convention No. 128, disability, old age and survivors’ benefits are treated, with their corresponding processes and conditions. Of these, with a thorough social perspective, the minimum standard aimed at harmonizing the legal-political arrangements of the member states is analysed.
