    Aunque los aspectos psicológicos en relación con la ortodoncia y la cirugía ortognática rara vez son tenidos en cuenta por los ortodoncistas y cirujanos, su importancia es indiscutible. Ofrecemos una revisión de las aportaciones que recoge la literatura sobre los aspectos más estudiados. En esta primera parte abordamos la personalidad del paciente ortodóncico-ortognatico y la repercusión psicológica del impacto de la deformidad sobre el atractivo físico.
