Resumen de Evaluación de parámetros fisicoquímicos en aguas del arroyo Hinojo en el partido de Olavarría

O. A. Díaz, Viviana Colasurdo

  • Hinojo stream is tributary of Tapalqué stream, placed in Olavarría city. The source of Hinojo stream is located in the North West of the Sierras Bayas, and its course is about 27 km long, in a mean slope of 3,5 ‰. This flow of water has its origin and middle part already established, but it has branches in its last section. The objective of this work consists of developing a characterization of physicochemical parameters of Hinojo stream, the data considered come from the determinations developed by the years 2001 and 2002. In this work, three sample places probably with different anthropic impacts were considered. The determinations that were carried out are: calcium, magnesium, hardness, sodium, potassium, chloride, sulfate, carbonates, bicarbonate, fluoride, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, electrical conductivity, pH, dry residuum, dissolved oxygen and BOD5. Resemblance in the ionic composition of de water of Hinojo stream can be seen along its course. It is mainly sodium bicarbonates type. The three sample places present similar behavior in relation to water quality for different uses, because all the analyzed samples are classified as chemically apt for cattle feeding, and the fixed parameters fulfill the requests established by the Secretaría de Recursos Hídricos de la Nación Argentina, (1987) for each one of the four uses.
