    La filosofía es la ciencia que se busca, pero también la que ha de encontrarse. Parece, en nuestros nublados tiempos, que todo aquello que no encaja ni en las ciencias ni en las artes ha de ser nombra-do «filosofía», sin más. Estamos en un fárrago de «filosofías segundas» en el que cabe preguntar si en verdad secundan algo. Hemos de volver, pues, a tratar a la filosofía como primera. Pero hay que hacerlo de un modo radical y novedoso. Por eso presentaré qué es filosofía para Xavier Zubiri y sostendré que la filoso-fía es un conocimiento metafísico de lo físico

    Philosophy is the seeked science, but it also is the one that must be found. It seems, in our foggy times, that every-thing that does not fit in sciences or the arts is named «Philosophy», with-out adding anything else. Now we live in a jumble of «second philosophies» in which we should ask if they really second something. We must return, therefore, to treat Philosophy as a first Philosophy. But we must do it in a radical and new way. That is why I will present what Phi-losophy is for Xavier Zubiri and I will argue that philosophy is a metaphysical knowledge of the physical things
