    La poesía del Bajo Barroco busca divertir y sorprender al público con versos picantes y cómicos. Su estilo popular, su temática intrascendente y los ecos de un glorioso pasado hicieron que no solo desapareciera de gran parte de las historias de la literatura española, también propiciaron que fuera duramente desprestigiada por la crítica. Esto hizo caer en el casi en el total olvido la transgresora obra de destacados poetas de este periodo, como León Marchante, José Pérez de Montoro o fray Damián Cornejo, que ofrecen poemas donde se subvierten los códigos petrarquistas y se buscan nuevos cauces de pensamiento y de expresión.

    En el presente trabajo, se aportará una visión general del estado actual de la lírica hispana de la segunda mitad del siglo XVII y se intentará mostrar su interés literario y cultural a través de su análisis. Para lograr tales objetivos, se darán a conocer sus principales características, se expondrán algunos de los temas (sacros y profanes) más recurrentes en ella y se plantearán nuevas vías para su divulgación y estudio. Gracias a esta investigación, se podrán desvelar algunas de las claves poéticas que permitieron crear un puente entre el esplendor de la lírica áurea y la poesía cultivada en el Siglo de las Luces.

    The poetry of “ Baj o Barroco ” seeks to entertain and surprise the audience with spicy and comic verses. His popular style, its inconsequential themes and the echoes of a glorious past made it not only disappear from most of the stories of Spanish literature, they also caused it to be harshly discredited by critics. This led to the almost total oblivion of the transgressive work of prominent poets of this period, such as Leon Marchante, José Pérez de Montoro or fra Damián Cornejo, who offer poems where Petrarchist codes are su bverted and new ways of thinking are sought and of expression.

    In the present work, will be provided a general vision of the current state of the Hispanic poetry of the second half of the 17th century and it will be show its literary and cultural int erest through its analysis. To achieve these objectives, its main characteristics will be announced, some of the most recurrent ( sacred and profane ) topics will be exposed and new ways will be proposed for its dissemination and study. Thanks to this invest igation, some of the poetic keys that allowed to create a bridge between the splendor of the golden poetry and the poetry cultivated in the Age of Enlightenment could be unveiled.
