Este ensayo analiza el movimiento consejista y especialmente a los delegados revolucionarios de empresa durante la Gran Guerra y la Revolución alemana de 1918-1919, así como su relación con las organizaciones políticas y sindicales del movimiento obrero alemán. Su intervención junto a la izquierda radical, en oposición al SPD durante la guerra y sus propuestas de reorganización revolucionaria de la sociedad alemana reflejan tendencias y aspiraciones muy potentes en la clase obrera alemana de la época, aunque no llegaran a concretarse.

This essay analyses the council movement and especially the revolutionary shop stewards during the Great War and the German Revolution of 1918-1919, as well as its relationship with the political and trade union organisations of the German labour movement. Their intervention alongside with the radical left, in opposition to the SPD during the war and their proposals for revolutionary reorganization of German society reveals very strong tendencies and aspirations in the German working class of the time, although they would not come to fruition.
