  • Resumen
    • This chapter shows a practical example of a basic sociodemographic diagnosis. The main reason for this sociodemographic diagnosis is to have a greater degree of knowledge of social reality in order to face the possible risks of any political or scientific action. Sociodemographic diagnoses become a first-order tool to plan and manage municipal actions, as well as to know the contexts in which actions and decision-making processes will take place. Age and level of studies maintain an inverse relationship, since we see that the highest grades achieved in terms of educational level are concentrated in the young population, or in other words, the population groups with more advanced ages have lower levels of regulated education. The sociodemographic profile of people in unemployment shows that there is a clear correlation between age and unemployment in the municipality; this situation worsens as the population ages.
