Juan de Ibaso (Baza, 1612 - Málaga, 1694) es uno de los numerosos poetas casi olvidados de la segunda mitad del siglo xvii. Su inicial formación jesuita y su posterior carrera eclesiástica hicieron que su vida y su poesía discurrieran por diversos puntos de España, especialmente Granada, Sevilla, Madrid y Málaga.

Juan de Ibaso (Baza, 1612 - Málaga, 1694) is one of the many forgotten poets of the second half of the seventeenth century. His training as a Jesuit and his subsequent ecclesiastical career, took him to different parts of Spain in the course of this life, especially Granada, Seville, Madrid and Malaga, and this is reflected in his poetry. The article retrieves fundamental documentation in order to reconstruct his major biographical milestones.
