Resumen de La cruzada marítima contra el azufre. La complejidad y la concertación
The so called IMO 2020 will enter into force on 1 January 2020. The article tries to collect, at a glance, the situation of the world fleet, the different positions and ways forward, took by different shipping interest in order to face the new regulation issued by the International Maritime Organization, IMO, regarding the content of Sox within the ship’s exhaust gas emissions to the atmosphere. Some different solutions based in the use of scrubbers or very low sulphur fuel oil: as well as the LNG are contemplated, their different pros and cons also looking the horizon of the future more strong restrictions in 2050.
