  Se sabe bastante acerca del destino de los cautivos cristianos en territorio nazarí. No ocurre igual en el caso contrario: los cautivos musulmanes en territorio castellano. Este trabajo es una breve introducción al tema. En él estudio las condiciones de vida de los cautivos granadinos en Andalucía y Murcia, incluyendo a los que reniegan de su fe. Hago hincapié en cómo podían conseguir la libertad y, sobre todo, en la manera en que se financiaban los rescates. Por último, analizo el trabajo de los alfaqueques, o redentores de cautivos, que no siempre se comportaban como era debido.

  We know quite a lot about the fate of Christian captives in the Nasrid territory. It is not the same as in the case of Moslem captives in Castile. This paper is a short introduction to the subject. I study here the living conditions of Granadan captives in Andalucia and Murcia, including those who renounced their faith. I do emphasize the way to get their liberty and, overall, the means to finance the rescues. Finally, I analyze the work done by the alfaqueque, or redemptor of captives, that not always behaved honestly.
