Resumen de Hacia la creación de una identidad de centro a través del patrimonio: un estudio de caso en el IES San Isidro de Madrid

  El IES San Isidro de Madrid es un centro educativobhistórico que desde hace unos años desarrolla un proyecto de dinamización social del centro a través de su patrimonio. Este trabajo pretende describir y analizar el proceso de creación de un museo de centro y las inercias identitarias de la comunidad asociadas a este proceso. Para ello se ha diseñado una investigación empleando el estudio de caso como método, centrando las herramientas de recogida y análisis en las publicaciones del centro y las entrevistas a informantes. Los principales resultados apuntan que la creación de un museo del centro ha servido para generar comunidades de interpretación donde no solo participan los miembros de la comunidad escolar, sino que además se generan colaboraciones con otro tipo de agentes educativos, como antiguos alumnos, estudiantes de universidad, residentes de la zona, etc. Además, el museo se configura como metáfora del proceso de creación de la comunidad y de su relación con su patrimonio, de manera que el museo va evolucionando como lo hace la comunidad.

  IES San Isidro de Madrid is a historical high school that, for some years, has been developing a revitalization social project of the center through its own heritage. This work aims to describe and analyze the process of creating its own museum in the high school and the identity inertias of the community associated with this process. To this end, research work has been designed based on the case study method. High school publications and the informant interviews were the focus of the data collection and analysis process. The main results suggest that the construction of a museum inside the centre has helped to create interpretation communities where not only members of the school community participate, but also other kind of educational agents, such as graduate students, university students, residents of the nearby area, etc. In addition, the museum becomes a metaphor of the community’s creative process and its relationship with its heritage, and evolves in the same way the community does.
