    Este artículo trata de valorar la conveniencia de la incorporación de la técnica del EMDR a tratamientos iniciados desde un enfoque psicodinámico, en la medida en que aparecen elementos traumáticos en la historia de la persona analizada. Se describe esta técnica y se demuestra su aplicación a un caso que contiene, además, la transmisión transgeneracional de traumas históricos vinculados a la guerra (1936- 1939) por partida doble, tanto del padre como de la madre del paciente.

    Se concluye que la aplicación de esta técnica facilita la recuperación terapéutica.

    The present paper deals with the assessment of the convenience to incorporate the EMDR technique to treatments that were initiated from a more psychodynamic approach as traumatic elements appear in the history of the analyzed person. This technique is described, and its application is demonstrated in a case that also contains the double transgenerational transmission of historical traumas linked to the war (1936-1939), both from the father and the mother of the patient. It is concluded that the application of this technique facilitates therapeutic recovery
