Se plantea en este artículo el estudio de la tonadilla escénica, atendiendo tanto o su aspecto musical como al literario. Tras dejar constancia de los centros de investigación en los que se conservan las colecciones más significativas se analiza, a la vista de la riqueza del repertorio conservado, cuáles han podido ser las causas que han determinado la falta de interés en su estudio durante el siglo XX, tanto desde la Filología como desde la Musicología.

This article sets forth the study of the scenic tonadilla, taking into account both its musical and its literary aspect. After stating the centres of investigation where the most significant collections are kept, there follows an analysis, seeing the richness of the preserved repertory, of the possible causes that have determined the lack of interest in its study during the 20th century, both from the areas of Philology and Musicology.
