Rosa Luxemburg ha sido una de las figuras internacionales más relevantes del siglo XX. Murió asesinada trágicamente, en 1919, acrecentándose la aureola de “heroína de la revolución”. Este año se cumple el centenario del fallecimiento de esta rebelde polaca-alemana, que fue “la llama de la revolución” alemana de 1918-1919. Rosa Luxemburg aunaba pensamiento y acción. Dedicó una parte considerable de su esfuerzo vital y político a redactar artículos periodísticos y folletos, además de escritos teóricos cruciales. Las teorías ‘luxemburguistas’ tuvieron un gran impacto posterior, a finales de la década de 1960 e inicios de 1970, en los movimientos de rebeldía alemanes, norteamericanos, franceses con el Mayo del 68… así como en los movimientos poscoloniales en África, Perú y Ecuador. Es preciso rescatar la dimensión internacional de esta apasionada teórica y militante.

Rosa Luxemburg has been one of the most relevant international figures in the 20th century. She was tragically murdered in 1919, thereby her “heroine of the revolution” halo being enhanced. This year marks the centenary of the death of this Polish-German rebel, who was “the German flame of the revolution” from 1918-1919. Rosa Luxemburg combined thought and action. He devoted a considerable part of his vital and political effort to writing newspaper articles and leaflets, as well as key theoretical writings. In the late 1960s and early 1970s the ‘Luxembourgish’ theories had a great impact on German, North American and French May 1968 rebel movements, as well as on post-colonial movements in Africa, Peru and Ecuador. It is therefore necessary to rescue the international dimension of this passionate theoretician and militant.
