Resumen de La sexualidad femenina durante el franquismo: represión versus realidad

Durante el periodo franquista se produjo una involución de todas las iniciativas aperturistas promovidas en la II República incluidas las relativas a la temática sexual. El proceso represivo asociado al régimen alcanzó también el control y sometimiento de las conductas íntimas de la población española como un eslabón más en la cadena de pérdida de libertades individuales originadas durante la dictadura. En este sentido el ideario moral franquista enlazó perfectamente con la doctrina defendida por la religión, y juntos establecieron los principios de comportamiento sexual permitido. Sin embargo no debemos olvidar que durante este periodo se desarrollaría también una doble moral en la que convivieron alegremente la mujer santa y la prostituta, la esposa abnegada y la querida, o la oficina y el burdel. Es indudable que existió una activa represiva en torno a la sexualidad —especialmente la femenina—, pero también es cierto que la estricta norma sexual de la época fue violada con más frecuencia de lo esperado. Pretendemos con esta comunicación analizar el hiato que se produjo entre el discurso oficial y la realidad sexual de la población española, mediante el estudio comparativo de autores que abordaron la temática sexual durante el periodo dictatorial.

During the Franco period there was an involution of all the opening initiatives promoted in the Second Republic, including those related to sexual themes. The repressive process associated with the regime also reached the control and submission of the intimate behaviors of the Spanish population as a further link in the chain of loss of individual liberties originated during the dictatorship. In this sense the Francoist moral ideology perfectly linked with the doctrine defended by religion, and together they established the principles of sexual behavior allowed. However, we must not forget that during this period there would also be a double standard in which the holy woman and the prostitute, the devoted and dear wife, or the office and the brothel lived together. There is no doubt that there was an active repression of sexuality – especially the female– but it is also true that the strict sexual norm of the time was violated more frequently than expected. We intend with this communication to analyze the hiatus that occurred between the official discourse and the sexual reality of the Spanish population, through the comparative study of authors who approached the sexual theme during the dictatorial period.
