Las huelgas mineras en Asturias en el 62 marcaron un antes y un después en la lucha contra el franquismo. Dentro de ese contexto, que empieza en 1957 y continuará hasta el final de la dictadura, se enmarca el episodio que vamos a analizar en este trabajo: el Asalto a la Comisaría de Mieres, ocurrido el 12 de marzo de 1965. La idea es analizar las causas, desarrollo y consecuencia de este acontecimiento, su importancia para el Régimen y la oposición, y para los medios de comunicación. Y la represión provocada por la Brigada Político Social, la Policía Armada y la Guarda Civil.

The mining strikes in Asturias in 62 marked a before and after in the fight against Franco. Within this context, which begins in 1957 and will continue until the end of the dictatorship, the episode that we are going to analyze in this work is framed: the Assault on the Police Station of Mieres, occurred on March 12, 1965. The idea is to analyze the causes, development and consequence of this event, its importance for the Regime and the opposition, and for the media. And the repression provoked by the Social Political Brigade, the Armed Police and the Civil Guard.
